'Out of Control' consists of text-based works expressed in various media. The texts are fragments from conversations and dialogues in cafes, on the bus... The sentences are often a blend of multiple voices and are processed to make some sense. I create surreal, abstracted, and poetic versions of everyday experiences and challenges through objects and texts that are open to interpretation – where the physical encounter with the materials, surfaces, and texts can trigger emotional and intellectual processes. The text works are not factual texts, prose, or poetry. They are open and abstracted - sometimes veiled, so that the form also takes on significance along with the text. This can be seen as text-based experiments where the formal expression is on par with the textual content. My works reside between abstraction and reality. I'm not seeking answers, but rather seeking openings where the interpretation of what one sees becomes a part of the artwork."
